We take pride in running a forward thinking, transparent auction working tirelessly for our loyal supporters nationwide. Our facility based adjacent to the A1(M) is second to none as the most modern livestock sales centre in Britain. We strive to run a state-of-the-art facility whilst remaining true to the old-fashioned values which have helped livestock sales and the farming community prosper in Darlington for 1000 years before us.
DFAM is served and supported by livestock from all across the United Kingdom
Geographically we are naturally well supplied by high quality livestock from the renowned farming counties of County Durham, Yorkshire, Northumberland and Cumbria plus recent times have resulted in escalating support from further afield, regular consignors from all four corners of the UK are now very much a part of the DFAM family.
Close to 250,000 head of stock pass through our gates annually
The whole team share an ambition to increase this figure year on year. Following 140 years at our previous home, we now have unlimited scope to do this as the company made the impressive investment to purpose build a new auction which opened in September 2020.
DFAM is supported by its subsidiary company Vickers and Barrass Chartered Surveyors who operate from two offices, based at Tow Law and here in Darlington Mart.
