Sincere thanks go to our judge Mr Robert Barker who travelled up from Ponton, Lincolnshire to oversee some tremendous classes. Picked as champion was a wonderful pedigree Charollais ewe lamb from noted breeder Deborah Whitcher, Foulrice. The terrific sort is sired by Artnaguillion Armani out of a homebred ewe by the influential flock sire Inglis Cymro, full of character and style she looks to have all the makings of a great sheep and with such an illustrious pedigree behind her she surely has a bright future. Reserve champion went to a pedigree North Country Cheviot Park type gimmer shearling from Stephen Dodsworth’s South Lund Flock, sired by a Hightae tup out of a ewe with Ericstane breeding she looks every bit a ready-made show sheep and will hopefully go on and do just that successfully over the remainder of this summer and in years to come.
