Lambs just begin to show their faces in numbers with a few more vendors opting to round up a few fields and cherry pick the best off the top, with a few first draws seen, plenty of grass fed lambs in the averages as well as the very best creep fed lambs. Top of the day in the pounds per head to K & PM Lough with a super lamb away to £219, while not to be out done, J C Simpson topping at £218 and others to £211 and £198. W & M Knaggs & Son seeing their top fly away to £215 while Anna Herbert sees a top of £210. A first draw from John and Anne Herbert top their run at £208 while CA & JG Skidmore breaking the £200 bracket also. Plenty more continental sired lambs on the bigger end of the weights between the £170-£180 bracket. The native sired lambs still a little harder work however still trading around the 370-390p/kg. More lambs are needed weekly to meet buyer demand as many outlets are know beginning to look to change over.
