Prime Hoggs (1397) – Firmer on the week but the vendors with big weights are finding some resistance, the heavy hoggs are certainly trickier to move as the gap between 40kg and 60kg noticeably narrows. A weighed straight sale average of 250ppk with an SQQ of 268ppk. A super run of hoggs from Nottinghamshire and the Executors of G M T Foljambe, Osberton led the pence per kilo when they sold to a top of 327 pence, top of the gross values came much more locally as Stockton-on-Tees based J Hird of Thorney Close Farm produced a beautiful Beltex at £160.
